Brigitte-Schlieben-Lange-Programme

schlieben-lange

With this programme, the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg wants to support female junior researchers and artists with children in their qualification for professorship and thus offer them planning security during their qualification phase. The programme is divided into three funding lines. Of these, only the first line is pertinent to the female researchers at Heidelberg University.

Funding Line I

This funding line addresses women with children, who hold a position at a university and are currently in the postdoc phase. Female researchers can be supported with up to two years of employment (pay grade 13 or 14/TV-L). As a rule, the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Wuerttemberg funds an employment amounting to 50 per cent of a full-time equivalent. The supervising university, on its part, has to fund at least 25 per cent of a full-time equivalent. The university's share is to be financed by the sponsored candidate's institute. It is expected that the university supplies the candidate with the necessary basic facilities including essential equipment (cf. the guidelines for funding line I).

Guidelines
